I titled this painting Candy Floss because it reminds me so vividly of the sweet, fluffy spun sugar we had as children. Those soft, sticky pink threads take me right back to a time when my mom and dad would make the long trip in from the farm to take us to the circus—a once-a-year magic in our small, dusty town. We always sat in the front row, and I remember feeling so special, completely enchanted by it all. I felt like I owned that big top. So many sights and sounds that have stayed with me forever.
